Bayantel, Intermittent DSL Connection, Lost Dial tone During Bad Weather, Slow Speed



Just reading the title alone, you will have an idea what’s going to be the tone of this article. Like their internet connection, my desire of recommending this phone/internet provider is also intermittent. Sometimes their good but there are times they suck. I won’t change my stand anyway, that their customer service is superb! However that won’t change the fact that they suck at giving a decent internet service.

Bayantel, the telephone company



Bayan Telecommunications Inc., is founded in 1986 and is owned by the Lopez group of companies. They provide phone, wireless and broadband services across the country. Today they cover almost 33 percent of the country’s population that’s why they are known to be one of PLDT’s competitors in the industry. Landline telephone, DSL, wireless phone (Bayan Phone), are just a few examples of their products which Filipinos find as their alternative when they want to try other provider than PLDT which currently is the leading telecommunications company in the Philippines.


Intermittent connection



I’ve discussed this subject several times like in this article which I wrote a year ago. It means that this problem of Bayan DSL is like a normal thing that should be dealt with and you would consider a perennial issue when you are a subscriber of Bayantel. As I said, every internet provider in the Philippines has intermittent connection problem, but they should do something about it. I also observe that each of them treats their customer’s concerns differently, but the solutions and the results seem to have some similarity. They reset the modem, they change it sometimes, they would visit you house and check everything that they suspect as to be the cause of the problem you’re having, the customer service representative you’re talking to would suggest a system clean up on your end; meaning you check if you store some computer virus and if you do you remove it as well as those unnecessary garbage like internet cookies temp files etc., or to the point that you’d be told to reformat your hard drive completely, heh!


I’m not trying to be a smartass, I’m just telling you to provide us the services you promise and advertise Bayantel! Like other issues for example the slow internet speed, high latency and some other things which your customers complain everyday, it’s time for you to act on these before you lose your subscribers.

net starter ko 4mbps (5,600 per month) below 1mbps lang nakukuha ko. mahirap talaga mag youtube. sa simula lang sila maganda..Lagi nilang itatanong kung ilan ba pc ko concern pa sila doon di nalang sila concern kung tama ba naibibigay nilang connection. Nakaka irita pa kasi pag paulit ulit kana mag reklamo di kana nila papansinin.
GINTO PA price nila kaysa sa PLDT...
Gusto ko sanang umalis sa kanila , Lintik kung hindi siguro sila eeksena pa baka pasukin pa lugar namin ng PLDT..

my dsl has recurrent problem since it was installed. everytime i call on the telephone it the same complaint over and over again and same answer from the phone over and over again. i suggest to change or get another contractor service assigned in sampaloc area. however, reccurent problems would not be repeated unless they served good and well manage.

Intermittent din and dsl ko pati ung wireless landline ko disconfigured nila para hindi na magamit, sinisisi nila sa phone unit eh it's working properly, meron dial tone, lahat kumpleto. Before I even had to purchase a prepaid landline bayantel card nag check pa sila kuno sa landline ko if it's active pero everytime na mag dial no service. ANO BA YAN!!!! BALITA KO MAY BAGO KAYO GUSTONG I ENDORSE NA NAMAN SA CUSTOMERS NYO PARA BILI NG BILI SA INYO. RUBBISH!!! HINDI AKO MAGPAPAUTO!!!

daming reklamo ngayon ko lng na basa shett ganto pla bayantel ngayon nanood ako ng anime 45sec parin ang na buff wtf !!!!!!!! 1mbps lng to pero dati hnd ganto ngayon pag na disconnect 2-4 days bago ma connect hah sarap mag PLDT hayzz

Sa lahat ng mga reklamo wala na ako masabi haha nanood ako ng anime 5mins pa lng na bubuff eh halos 15 mins ko na inaantay grabe dati hnd ganto ngayon kahat mga online game na niallaro ko lag na rin HoN,LOL,aurakingdom,flyff,yulgang2 wtf sobrang lag tapos mga laptop sa bahay nag didisconnect na lng bigla mag may ddl ako or mag loading mapapa wow ka sa sarap sana nag PLDT na lng ako

reading this i reALized hinayaan ko pa ng matagal bago itinawag sa bayantel i don't have problem during the first month but after that lagi na lang nagdidisconnect gusto ko sanang icancel yung service pero within the first 15 days lang daw ang cancellation after that may termination fee na ahhh

During my troubleshooting sa PC ko, ang lumalabas DNS isn't responding. Palagi ganito ang problema dalawa o tatlong linggo na ata. tatlong beses na pabalik balik ang technician dito.. akalain mo, sinisi pa ang mac address.. nag didisconnect sya tuwing hapon hangaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang alas dose ng gabi. may silbi pa ba to? wala talagang kwenta ang bayantel, yung iba ang tawag buloktel daw.. hahahaha.. hindi primary DNS ang problema kundi yung system nila na bulok.kahit pa palitan nyo ng DNS server ala pa din connection. sino niloko nila. nakakabwesit na eh..
